Sia recreated her video on The Ellen Show as she brought Maddie, a little girl, modern dancing all over the stage like in her video for the song.

Sia is one of these artist that nobody can really define as she has such a different style from what you can hear on the radio, she sure sang for David Guetta on Titanium but don’t you dare think that she’s electro because she’s everything but that !

She wrote songs for Rihanna, Katy Perry, Madonna Beyoncé and a lot of other artists and this song is kind of undefinable sounding like reggae / pop / rock  the hook is very catchy and her unique voice catches the attention.

Watch her perform her single or at least watch her back while she’s singing.

Lyrics:

Party girls don’t get hurt
Can’t feel anything, when will I learn
I push it down, push it down

I’m the one “for a good time call”
Phone’s blowin’ up, they’re ringin’ my doorbell
I feel the love, feel the love

1,2,3 1,2,3 drink
1,2,3 1,2,3 drink
1,2,3 1,2,3 drink

Throw em back, till I lose count

I’m gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier
I’m gonna live like tomorrow doesn’t exist
Like it doesn’t exist
I’m gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry
I’m gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier

And I’m holding on for dear life, won’t look down won’t open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, ’cause I’m just holding on for tonight
Help me, I’m holding on for dear life, won’t look down won’t open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, ’cause I’m just holding on for tonight
On for tonight

Sun is up, I’m a mess
Gotta get out now, gotta run from this
Here comes the shame, here comes the shame

1,2,3 1,2,3 drink
1,2,3 1,2,3 drink
1,2,3 1,2,3 drink

Throw em back till I lose count

  1. irrelevant says:

Not that her face isn’t important to her, or to us, but for whatever [Sia’s] reasons:
the [lyrics of the] song is [/are] more important than her face
Sia’s focus on her vocal authenticity is more important [than us possibly noticing Graves’], which hopefully helps us to focus moreso on the lyrics
    the setting is more important
Maddie’s performance is more [if not MOST] important
(her choice to keep her face hidden may also hide her Graves’, which prevents us from being distracted from what she considers more important).

She’s choosing not only to keep out of the spotlight, she’s choosing to focus it [instead] on the lyrics, her vocal authenticity, the setting, & Maddie’s [intentionally] unnerving and uncanny performance.

I suspect that ‘Abby’ or ‘the dance moms’ don’t truly understand this; nor did [at least one of] someone else’s parents …
